Shannon Lock

Shannon Lock is a violinist and violist committed to accessible and engaging musical experiences. Drawn to chamber music for its intimacy and collaborative spirit, she values deep connection through performance. Shannon holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Kurt Sassmannshaus, Sasha Kazovsky, and Giora Schmidt.

Following her studies, she performed with the Cincinnati String Project and served as Educational Director for the nonprofit. Now based in Pittsburgh, Shannon performs with ensembles of all sizes, including ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and the Columbus Symphony, and teaches music and yoga at Pittsburgh Music House.
